Museum of the Mine

 

 

Installed on the site of coal mining of Harchies, on the old "Carreau de la Mine du Rivage", the Museum is open from May 1 to September 30 : Saturdays and Sunday of 15:00 to 19:00.

 

Guided visits at 15:30. Opened all year on reservation for the groups.

 

Private collections coming from the mines of Monceau-Fontaine, Hensies-Pommeroeul or Roton-Farciennes. Gathering on the old site of coal mining of Harchies.

Direct witnesses of the industrial and coal activities.

Museum of the Iguanodon

 

 

The museum of the iguanodon enables you to discover a true fossilized skeleton of 5 m and 130 million years.

 

Collections of the Geological Circle of Hainaut are present in the museum (fossils of carboniferous, various types of rocks and fluorescent minerals).

 

Guided visit on reservation.

 

From February 8, the Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.

 

Accessible to the people with reduced mobility.
